Evidence before confidence
We distinguish research, hands-on product use, road tests, and owner interviews. The current guides are document-based explainers and planning frameworks. We do not claim to have driven the featured cars or tested the products discussed.
Sources and updates
Articles identify sources and scope. Vehicle data must identify year, transmission, trim, market, and the date checked. Asking prices must not be presented as completed sale prices. Corrections should describe the meaningful change, rather than silently changing an update date.
The Gearline Score
No scores have been assigned in this edition. The proposed methodology explains the criteria, weighting, and evidence requirements. The rubric still requires validation before ratings launch. Missing evidence will remain visible instead of becoming a guessed number.
Commercial independence
There are currently no affiliate links, paid placements, or display advertisements. Future commercial relationships must be disclosed near the relevant recommendations. Payment must not determine a score or a winner.
Research assistance
AI tools assist with drafting, organization, and source checking. This assistance is not hands-on vehicle or product testing. Research guides identify their scope, link to the evidence for technical claims, and distinguish planning examples from measured results. We welcome corrections through the contact page.
